We sat down with Sherif for a snapshot of what he does on a day-to-day basis, the why behind his passion for Architecture, and a little bit of fun along the way.
Q: What does a typical day look like for you?
A: Every day is different, but my most common everyday activities always include checking my schedule, to-dos for the day, collaborating with my team, and having productive communication with our clients. Meetings and site visits as well.
Q: What do you most like about your job?
A: It is always rewarding to feel that we were able
to help our client in achieving their project goals.
Q: What is your favorite project to date?
A: My favorite project till date was the first
project I worked on in the very beginning of my professional life, it was an
international airport terminal for a very beautiful coastal city in Egypt
called Hurghada. Not only due to my excitement as a fresh graduate for this
opportunity to work on such a sophisticated project, but also due to my madness
about aviation, I’ve always loved flying, aircrafts, take-offs, landings,
engines. terminals. I learned a lot about our industry because of this project.
Q: What is your favorite architectural style?
A: I really appreciate all types of historical Architecture, but Gothic and Renaissance Architecture always renders me speechless.
Q: What do you do in your spare time?
A: I love spending quality time with my family,
trying new local restaurants and cuisines. I also enjoy capturing Architectural
images and videos using drones and cameras.
Q: What is your favorite quote?
A: “Or what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” – Jesus Christ
