A Chat With...Weina Jiang

Weina Jiang, AIA Design Associate

WEINA JIANG

ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER, DSA

We sat down with Weina for a snapshot of what she does on a day to day basis, the why behind her passion for architecture, and a little bit of fun along the way.

Q: What does a typical day look like for you?

A: There is no typical day…everything I deal with is based on the project I’m working on and the project phase. I do something different based on whether the project is in the programming, schematic design, design development, construction document, or construction administration phase of our process.

Q: What do you most like about your job?

A: I get the chance to learn more about the different building types, technologies, & building codes every day, and to apply that knowledge. It’s fast paced, so it can be tense at times but it’s always interesting!

Q: What is your favorite project to date?

A: The Gannon University New Academic Building.

Q: What is your favorite architectural style?

A: Mid-Century Modern.

Q: What do you do in your spare time?

A: I like to read, hike, and I also grow orchids!

Q: What is your favorite quote?

A: “Victory belongs to the most persevering.” – Napoleon Bonaparte
